  • What is the easiest way to rent a storage unit?

    The easiest way is right here on our website.  Click on Location pick your desired location, then click on Rent Now beside the storage unit size and type you desire and the system will walk you through the steps to rent your unit. Once you have completed the rental process, you will receive an email and/or text message with information on how to access your storage unit. If you would prefer, you can call us to do an over the phone rental. You will need to be able to send a picture of your driver license or state issued id either by text or email.

  • I see that you now offer climate controlled self storage in the Shops Off Broadway (formerly Thunderbird Mall).

    Yes, we are offering climate or temperature controlled storage. There are great reasons to use either climate controlled storage or traditional storage. The biggest, most obvious advantage of climate controlled storage is that it is heated in the winter and cooled in the summer. Another advantage is security. Each tenant gets a unique door code that will allow them entry into the building. Once inside, each storage unit is still locked up providing that next level of security. Another advantage is lighting. The facility has LED lights outside near each entrance door and LED lights inside. It is much better lit than the typical traditional storage unit. Adding to that security is the extensive use of cameras. With an abundance of indoor and outdoor cameras deterring crimes before they happen. You should chose if traditional or climate controlled suits your needs better. See our blog post on the advantages and disadvantages of each.

  • Does climate (temperature) controlled storage cost more?

    Yes, due to many factors such as heating and cooling such a large space, the cost of climate controlled storage is higher than traditional storage. The value of climate controlled storage far outweighs the cost. There are great reasons to use each of the types of storage. You should chose if traditional or climate controlled suits your needs better. See our blog post on the advantages and disadvantages of each.

  • I see that you require insurance. Why?

    Yes, we do require that you either prove that you have coverage for offsite storage through your homeowners or renters policy (check with your agent to make sure you are covered) or just take one of the plans that we offer. We do this because storage facility insurance (not just ours, all storage facilites) does not cover your stored items. We care about your items and if a tornado comes along and destroys our building, with our insurance we can rebuild and we want you to have the same peace of mind.

  • I have an account but can't login. What is wrong?

    The email address or phone number that you use to login must match what we have in your customer account. If you are not receiving the code via email, it is either you have a different email address on file with us or the message is going to your junk or spam folder. If you entered your phone number and are not receiving your login code, you must have a different phone number on file with us. Use the correct phone number or contact us during our normal business hours (refer to our home page) for assistance.

  • How can I avoid late fees?

    The obvious answer to this is to pay on time.  


    With that said, we are all busy and sometimes, life gets away from us and we are left wondering where did the time go?  The best way to avoid late fees is to set up an automatic payment.  You can do this on our website using  a debit or credit card. For ACH (direct debit from your checking account) please contact us to assist in setting this up. 

  • How much will a storage unit hold?

    This varies by the size of the unit that you rent as well as your ability to pack well. Please refer to our Size Guide page to give you an idea of how much each size will hold.    

  • Do you have any openings?

    Please see our current openings by clicking on Locations. Choose which of our locations you would like to rent at and you will see what sizes are available and how much the monthly rent is. You can then follow the easy steps to rent your storage unit online 24/7 for INSTANT access!  If you can see it online, we have at least one unit of that size available for immediate occupancy.

  • I am an existing customer, how can I rent another unit?

    You can just go to our website and rent the unit at whichever location you need to rent at.

  • I have seen Storage Wars on TV. Will you sell my stored possessions?

    We only sell the possessions of those who do not pay their rent. Keep your account current and there will be no problems. We recommend an automatic payment plan to avoid late fees and/or the sale of your stored possessions.  

  • I am interested in buying the contents of storage units, do you ever have storage auctions?

    Despite our efforts to the contrary, sometimes tenants do not pay their rent and we have to sell their stored items, you can go to www.storagetreasures.com to see if we have an lien sales.

  • Can you notify me of sales as they come up?

    All you have to do is  send an email to info@eclipseselfstorage.com and request to be added to the lien sale mailing list. Every time we have a lien sale at any of our locations we will send you an email notification of the sale. You can cancel at anytime by letting us know you no longer wish to receive notifications.
